It has been learned that certain wavelengths concentrated in a laser ray can break up the pigment in a tattoo. Not only is the wavelength important, but, also, the type of application of that wavelength as well. It is, now, well established that the, so called, "Q-Switched" laser produces the smashing effect on the tattoo pigment best and is the laser of choice in removal of tattoos .

This is not a one time treatment. Depending on the type of tattoo, three to six treatments may be required.

The procedure is non-invasive. Following each treatment the body's scavengers (macrophages) invade the area and carry the debris away.

Treatments are at three to four week intervals.
